Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer with a strong background in crafting intuitive, user-focused designs for one of our government clients. In this role, you will design across multiple projects, tools, and systems, ensuring a unified and seamless user experience at every interaction.
As an ideal candidate, you excel at creating cohesive design languages, intuitive workflows, and visually appealing interfaces—all while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that solutions align with organizational goals and user needs. A deep understanding of how farmers, agents, and producers engage with digital tools is essential.
Responsibilities
- User Research and Analysis
- Conduct comprehensive user research to uncover needs, pain points, and behaviors of internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Gather feedback through interviews, surveys, focus groups, and usability tests.
- Develop user personas and journey maps to guide design decisions.
- Design and Development of User-Centric Solutions
- Create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for the main platform and ancillary tools or systems.
- Collaborate with implementation partners to develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups.
- Ensure adherence to accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
- Work closely with developers to verify the accurate implementation of design features.
- Establish a Unified Design System
- Build and maintain a robust design system—components, style guides, and interaction patterns—to ensure consistency across all projects.
- Define and document design principles, tone, and guidelines for cross-team adoption.
- Align designs with organizational branding and visual identity.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with product managers, business analysts, developers, solution providers, and other stakeholders to ensure that designs meet both business and user needs.
- Participate in workshops and review meetings to brainstorm and refine solutions.
- Provide expert UX/UI recommendations that support broader program objectives.
- Usability Testing and Iterations
- Conduct usability tests on prototypes and finalized designs to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Use analytics tools and user feedback to iteratively refine and enhance designs.
- Support Business Modernization Goals
- Facilitate the integration of new tools, technologies, and systems with a seamless user experience.
- Ensure designs can scale and adapt to accommodate future enhancements and integrations.
- Reporting and Documentation
- Document design decisions, research findings, and testing outcomes for stakeholders and future reference.
- Provide regular updates to program leadership regarding progress, challenges, and key achievements.
- Training and Knowledge Transfer
- Train internal teams on the design system and best practices to promote sustainability.
- Develop resources and guidelines to support ongoing UX/UI initiatives.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in UX/UI Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Active Certifications in User Experience Design (e.g., Certified User Experience Analyst [CXA] by Human Factors International, UX Design by Google, Nielsen Norman Group certifications, or equivalent).
- At Least Five Years’ Experience in UX/UI design, showcasing a track record of delivering user-centric digital solutions.
- Proficiency in Wireframing, Prototyping, and Mockup Tools, ideally in agriculture, insurance, crop insurance, public service, or financial services.
- Expertise in User Research and Usability Testing, particularly involving farmers/producers, agents, and other agricultural stakeholders.
- A Strong Portfolio demonstrating complex, data-driven platform designs, preferably within public-sector, citizen services, agriculture, or insurance contexts.
