Build the Next Generation of AI-Enabled Drone Hardware
Super GeoAI Technology Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, integration, prototyping, and optimization of customized hardware systems that power our AI-driven drones and 4D LiDAR sensing platforms.
This role combines strong mechanical engineering expertise with hands-on experience in drone hardware development, sensor integration, rapid prototyping, and field validation. You will play a critical role in building next-generation drone and sensing platforms that bring AI innovation directly into real-world agricultural applications.
You will work closely with AI engineers, software developers, and product teams to create reliable, efficient, and field-ready systems that support advanced data collection and intelligent decision-making in agriculture and geospatial applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize mechanical systems, payload structures, enclosures, mounts, and supporting hardware for AI-enabled drones, LiDAR devices, and sensing platforms.
- Design and 3D print prototypes for drone payloads, sensor housings, mounting systems, and related hardware components.
- Lead prototyping, assembly, testing, validation, and iterative improvement of drone hardware in both laboratory and field environments.
- Collaborate with AI engineers and software developers to ensure effective integration between hardware, firmware, sensors, and AI models.
- Support the development of reliable, high-performance systems for field deployment, with a focus on durability, safety, efficiency, and operational performance.
- Evaluate and improve system performance through structured testing, troubleshooting, and mechanical redesign where needed.
- Stay current with emerging technologies in UAV platforms, sensors, LiDAR systems, embedded hardware, and AI-integrated mechanical systems.
- Prepare clear technical documentation, including design files, test results, assembly procedures, and engineering workflows, to support reproducibility and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with 3D printing, rapid prototyping, and prototype iteration.
- Proven experience in mechanical design and hardware development for drones, UAVs, robotic systems, or related electromechanical platforms.
- Proficiency with CAD and mechanical design software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with sensors, actuators, mechanical assemblies, and real-time control systems.
- Experience with drone payload integration, sensor mounting, enclosure design, vibration reduction, or field hardware optimization is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Experience in drones, robotics, or related hardware systems is considered a strong asset.
