Our Pitch

Super GeoAI Technology Inc. (SGA) is a fast-growing geospatial artificial intelligence (GeoAI) technology Startup company with offices in Saskatoon and Calgary. We are adding Artificial Intelligence (AI) team members immediately to either our Saskatoon or Calgary locations in Canada. Our mission at SGA is to take the rocket fuel of great structured data and create elegant, simple, but ultrafast, brand agnostic, AI algorithmic engines for focused mobile and cloud platform use in agriculture. We are a company focused on supporting the digital transformation of agriculture in dryland, broad acre farming, it’s a Western Canadian thing. Our team is passionate and highly motivated to develop solutions that transform the laborious and manual observation processes in dryland farming to support more efficient and robust decision making on farm and in industry.

Our AI team is made up of three groups: data scientists responsible for field data collection and AI training datasets, AI algorithm engineers responsible for developing and designing AI algorithms and AI solutions, and AI software engineers responsible for implementing and developing AI-driven applications. The ideal candidate for our team is a hands-on, dedicated person who enjoys fast-paced development cycles spanning from research to production in the order of months.

Two Open Positions

Artificial Intelligence Algorithm Engineer

As an AI algorithm engineer, you will understand and analyze the high-quality labeled training imagery provided by our data scientist group. You will work with other AI team members to explore, test, and refine our AI-based and GeoAI-based models through tests with local field data.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Explore, develop, customize, test, qualify, and refine our AI and GeoAI-based models through tests with real-world local field data;
  • Explore open-source AI algorithms and our own AI algorithms, and develop methods to enhance our AI model accuracy and reliability;
  • Develop working prototypes of algorithms, evaluate, and compare metrics based on real-world datasets;
  • Provide design input specifications, requirements, and guidance to software engineers for algorithm implementation.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Deep understanding of statistics and experience with machine learning algorithms.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, PyTorch, Tensorflow and/or other ML languages and frameworks.
  • Experience working with open-source machine learning and computer vision libraries.

Education and Information Required:

Degree in applied machine learning, computer science, math, or statistics; a PhD or MS is preferred. Artificial Intelligence Software Engineer

As an AI software engineer, you will understand and implement the AI models provided by our AI algorithm engineers. You will work with other AI team members to build AI-driven mobile and web applications, and to build GeoAI-driven cloud frameworks for managing spatial big data in agriculture.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand, design, develop, customize, test, refine and deliver AI-driven mobile and web applications;
  • Write industry-ready software solutions that leverage artificial intelligence for image and spatial data processing;
  • Work with customers and AI team members to use AI to solve real problems in agriculture;
  • Work with cutting-edge technologies for artificial intelligence and deep Learning.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong software engineering skills in mobile applications and/or web applications;
  • Strong programming skills in Python, PyTorch, Tensorflow, and/or other ML languages and frameworks;
  • Experience in backend server and data-warehousing design and implementation is a plus.

Education and Information Required:

Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science or a related field with focus in machine learning. Salary Range:

Commensurate with experience. up to $120,000.
