We are seeking a motivated Machine Learning Junior Engineer (Intern) to join our team and contribute to our innovative projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Explore, develop, customize, test, qualify, and refine our AI and GeoAI-based models using real-world local field data.
  • Investigate open-source AI algorithms and enhance our proprietary AI algorithms to improve model accuracy and reliability.
  • Develop working prototypes of algorithms, evaluate them, and compare metrics using our real-world datasets.
  • Provide design input specifications, requirements, and guidance to software engineers for algorithm implementation.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Deep understanding of statistics and experience with machine learning algorithms.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and/or other ML languages and frameworks.
  • Experience working with open-source machine learning and computer vision libraries.

Eligibility Requirements:

This is a government-funded internship, and eligible interns must meet the following requirements:

  • Post-secondary graduates.
  • Between the ages of 15-30 (inclusive) at the start of the internship.
  • Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or persons granted refugee status in Canada.
  • Legally allowed to work according to relevant provincial and Canadian legislation and regulations.
  • Available to work for at least six months (26 weeks).
