Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Urban Planning Engineer to join our team for an innovative parking study project. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the development of urban parking solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of urban planning principles, environmental sustainability, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies for potential parking locations.
  • Develop detailed urban parking plans, including layout, infrastructure, and amenities.
  • Collaborate with transportation engineers, environmental scientists, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with local zoning laws, building codes, and environmental regulations.
  • Prepare and present project proposals, reports, and plans to stakeholders.
  • Utilize GIS and other planning software to create and manage project data.
  • Engage with the community to gather input and address concerns.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines and budget constraints.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in urban planning or related roles.
  • Proficiency in GIS, AutoCAD, and other planning and design software.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of environmental sustainability practices and principles.
  • Experience with community engagement and public consultation processes.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation is an asset.
