Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead the development and implementation of our machine learning models. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, data processing techniques, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a passion for innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models and algorithms.
- Analyze and preprocess large datasets to create high-quality training data.
- Develop, implement, and optimize machine learning algorithms to solve complex problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, and product managers, to integrate machine learning models into production systems.
- Evaluate and compare model performance using various metrics and improve model accuracy and reliability.
- Conduct code reviews, provide mentorship, and guide junior engineers in best practices.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in machine learning technology and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.
- At least 5 years of working experience in computer vision, deep learning, machine learning, or AI methodologies.
- Contributions to esteemed journals and conferences (e.g., ICCV, CVPR).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing commercially successful mobile and/or cloud applications.
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience developing machine learning models.
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and/or other ML languages and frameworks.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical methods, and data processing techniques.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of deep learning techniques and applications.
- Experience with computer vision and natural language processing (NLP).
- Experience with geospatial data and geographic information systems (GIS).
