Dr. Weiping Zeng had the privilege of meeting with the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Industry, at a special event marking a major new Government of Canada investment in the Canadian Agri-Food Automation and Intelligence Network (CAAIN).
Dr. Zeng was invited by Darrell Petras, CEO of CAAIN, to attend the event representing Super GeoAI as one of the Canadian AgTech companies supported by CAAIN. During the event, Dr. Zeng had the opportunity to meet Minister Joly and share SGA’s progress in developing and commercializing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Geospatial AI (GeoAI) technologies for agriculture.
At the event, Minister Joly announced a $50 million Government of Canada investment in CAAIN to accelerate the development, demonstration, adoption, and commercialization of innovative Canadian agri-food technologies.
As a CAAIN-supported company, SGA is grateful for the funding, mentorship, and continued support provided by CAAIN, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED), and the Government of Canada. This support has played an important role in helping SGA transform cutting-edge AI and GeoAI research into practical technologies that address real-world challenges in agriculture.
